19 Feb- 6 March 2022 – First solo exhibition, “Kijk”
“Kijk”: from 19th of February till 6th of March 2022, every Saturday and Sunday between 13h00 and 18h00 at pop-up Gallery Artpalatos in Herentals, Belgium.
“Kijk” (Look) is Pierre François’ first solo exhibition under own management and a tribute to his partner’s late father Willy François. His career as a car journalist and photographer for Belgium’s leading newspaper De Standaard spanned over 30 years. Willy had already passed when Pierre and Annabel met, but a meeting of minds happened through the exploration of his photo archives. Twelve paintings will be showcased during three consecutive weekends. The chosen location is the iconic former restaurant Aspalatos in Sint Waldetrudisstraat 99, 2200 Herentals, which is re-opening its doors as a pop-up gallery Artpalatos for the first time in 15 years.
